DR. MARTENS AT 40.

There are some days in which you just can’t dress as usual. You can’t because you feel as you have to run away from your skin. You don’t recognize yourself and the feeling of rebellion is so strong that seems that you have to restart your life all over. You need to break all the rules and do the exact opposite from what is expected from you. In that moment I listen to the grunge music that was the soundtrack of my teenage (and I never give it up) at high volume! So, when I feel like that, and my role of adult woman and the circumstances won’t let me shake up everything, I dare in my look.

When I was a teenager, the moment I make my mum buy me my Dr. Martens (and she hated them) was magic!!!! With those boots at my feet I felt so close to the group of guys from Seattle that represented my interior awkwardness so well in their songs. After Dr. Martens arrived the ripped jeans and the flannel shirt.

Today my mother horrifies again, but Dr. Martens boots are back in my wardrobe, more shining than ever!
